About Me

From Learning English to Becoming a Doctor.

Helping people learn, live healthier, and giving back.

Qualified DoctorGP Specialisation · East London

I’m Hisanth, a doctor who enjoys teaching, creating educational and entertaining content, and contributing to charitable healthcare projects.

I have worked across several London hospitals over the past two years. I am now specialising to become a GP in East London.

I spent my early childhood in Switzerland and began preparing for the 11+ in Year 5 while learning English for the first time. With the support of 11+ tuition from Guna Master, I ranked 30th out of 1,000 pupils and gained a place at the top grammar school in my area. That opportunity changed the trajectory of my life, and I want to help other pupils access the same support and opportunity.

I am the first doctor in my extended family. The devastating circumstances of the civil war in Sri Lanka meant that very few of my relatives had the opportunity to enter and complete higher education. I know how much potential there is in young people. Sometimes, what they need is the right teacher at the right time to help them realise it.

We also create public health videos in English and Tamil, explaining important medical conditions and helping raise awareness in our communities.

The Little Things Charity

Founded in 2013, The Little Things is a registered charity improving access to healthcare by providing vital medical equipment to underfunded hospitals and communities.

£100,000+raised across the charity’s work
4 countriesNepal, Uganda, Tanzania and Sri Lanka

Yearly healthcare projects have supported hospitals and communities in Nepal, Uganda and Tanzania, alongside multiple hospitals in Sri Lanka. The equipment provided has supported areas including neonatal care, eye care and wider hospital services.

I have been involved with The Little Things since high school in 2016 and now serve as Vice Chairman. Over the years, I have helped raise tens of thousands of pounds, led volunteers across 35 schools to organise bake sales and non uniform days, and supported the charity’s logistics, medical equipment sourcing and the Chairman’s work.

In 2019, I led a group of volunteers trekking Machu Picchu, raising more than £10,000. I remain deeply passionate about the meaningful, lifesaving work the charity has delivered.

Health Camps in Sri Lanka: Aram Initiative

The Aram Initiative does incredible work across healthcare, education, economic growth and community development, approaching each project with a sustainable and self sufficient outlook.

In 2024, I had the opportunity to lead medical students at healthcare camps in Sri Lanka. We supported health education and feminine hygiene across orphanages and special schools, as well as delivering healthcare camps in remote areas where access to care is very limited.

SADAH: South Asian Diabetes

People from South Asian backgrounds face a two to six times higher risk of developing type 2 diabetes than White Europeans in the UK. SADAH works to tackle this inequality by educating and empowering South Asian communities to make practical changes around blood sugar monitoring, medication, diet and exercise.

I have had the opportunity to organise events and conferences, give speeches and support public health awareness through SADAH’s work.
